Day 1 – Airport Transfer to hotel in San Jose
At your arrival, YOU will have a representative past the immigration point at the end of the ramp, waiting for you, holding a visible placard with your last name. The representative will not be able to provide assistance with your luggage inside the airport, as you’re the only person permitted to do so.
Once you have exited the airport, our driver will gladly assist you with your luggage and private transportation to the hotel in San Jose.
Day 2 – Irazu Volcano, Combo Tour
We will take the Panamerican Highway South, to start ascending the large “Iztaru”. The winding road travels through fertile lands cultivated with all kinds of vegetables as we observe a lovely panoramic view. At the top of the volcano you can observe the main craters and on a clear day, both Atlantic and Pacific Oceans can be seen.
As we descend to the city of Cartago we will stop at the Virgin of the Angels Basilica – a famous peregrination site for many believers. After visiting the Basilica we will stop at the Lankester Gardens, a University of Costa Rica Center for investigation that protects more than 800 species of orchids, bromeliads and countless species of other plants. We will continue to the Valley of Orosi where creation overflows in unparallel beauty. We will be able to visit one of the few remaining colonial churches and we will stop for lunch in one of the local restaurants.
Day 3 – Rainforest Adventure 3 in 1 (B/L)
Drive to Sarapiquí area, through the extraordinary rain forest of Braulio Carrillo National Park, one of the most important rainforest reserves of Costa Rica. On arrival to Sarapiqui, a beautiful area known for its impressive natural richness, you will board a boat for a relaxing ride on the Sarapiqui River where you will feel in close contact with nature and admire the inspiring surroundings.
After the boat ride you will continue with a walk on Selva Verde eco lodge’s private trails which are a heaven for nature enthusiasts, hikers, bird and wildlife watchers. Following lunch and on route to San Jose, a visit to the famous Rainforest Aerial Tram is included, for a ride on a gondola through the tree canopy in company of a naturalist guide that will talk to you about the wonderful rainforest.
The Rain Forest Aerial Tram – Atlantic is a 475-hectares (1,200-acre) private reserve that shares a 10 km border with Braulio Carrillo National Park, constituting a buffer zone between the park and farming lands.
Day 4 – Tour to the Arenal Volcano Area & visit to Tabacon Hotsprings (B/L/D)
Situated a mere 91 km northwest of San José, the Arenal Volcano is one the most active volcanoes in the Americas. In 1968 it erupted decimating the small town of Tabacón.
Next, we will visit the Tabacon Hot Springs where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. At a convenient time after your arrival, we will treat you to a scrumptious dinner and at the end of the evening you will be transferred to your hotel in Arenal.
Day 5 – Transfer to Jaco Beach & day at leisure in Jaco Beach (B)

Day 7 – Transfer from Jaco Beach to San José & day at leisure in San Jose (B)
Day 8 – Airport Transfer (B)
Breakfast at your hotel in San Jose. Transfer from your hotel in San Jose to the International Airport.
